MISSING PERSONS: Melissa Siedenstricker and Zeth Knyphausen. Were last seen and heard from around 11:00 pm on Friday, November 24th at Rogers Bar on Red Lake. They rented a sleeper cabin at Rogers for the weekend. When the sleeper was checked this morning, all of their belongings and personal items were still in the ice house. The truck was found down by the lake, but the trailer and four wheeler have not yet been located. The four wheeler is a Polaris 500 and it’s camo with a diamond plate around the back rack. There would be an R in the middle of the diamond….the wheeler could possibly have a small trailer behind it.

Zeth is a good friend of mine. If anyone is in the area please keep a look out for them.

No, they keep them on the shore until the ice is thick enough to pull them out. They rent them on the shore for people to have a place to stay/sleep. This couple apparently drove to the lake in their truck and then took the 4-wheeler out on the ice.

Sounds like they may have found the ATV at least where it went in…

Can you confirm this? I heard otherwise from people that were up there. Could be wrong though.

They rented a sleeper cabin on shore. He called me last week to see if I wanted to go with him. I would have but was having family over on Saturday for Thanksgiving

They have NOT found the 4 wheeler. They found where they think it went in. They found both pairs of boots, a pair of gloves, and a couple other belongings. This came from Mellissa’s brother.. I hope they got out some how and are somewhere warm but things aren’t looking good.. My stomach has been in knots all morning..

Yes, they found the wheeler and trailer at the bottom of the lake. Divers are going out now. Prayers to all involved.

Man what a terrible story to start the week. With all the reports on the internet of 4 to 12 inches, why chance it with their whole lives ahead. So sorry for the families, my thoughts are with those affected by this preventable accident.

Condolences for their friends and family. With the lack of snow and clear ice, I could see how easy it would be to end up off track and end up in open water or on thin ice.

Followed the thread today. Like everyone else, obviously not the news I was hoping for.

Ditto. Exactly the way I feel. Reminds me of the teenagers that lost their lives on Minnetonka about a decade ago.
