    Is the seastar a hydraulic steering system? What all would need to be added to convert to hydraulic steering system?

    Yes, you will need the lines and cylinder that fits on the engine. I think new the helm costs about 700.00+. I switched to an Evinrude G2 which requires a different steering helm.

    It also has tilt steering assembly
