Looks like a real cool trip Rootski!

My wife and I were trying to make it up there this September. It looks like it will have to wait another year. Great pics!

The pic of you in the waders/water almost looks like Beaver Bay. I’ve been home less than a week and miss it already.

    Great pics!

    Hi CT…

The pic where I’m holding a fish was at Gooseberry. The other picture of me was on the Baptism. One thing I learned was that it takes a while to figure out how to get on the river. Some times it isn’t obvious. I didn’t get on Beaver Creek because I wsn’t sure how to do it, and by the time we figured out how it was raining and storming. Next time!

I agree, I want to go back

You get on the Beaver on the SilverBay side of the bridge. Be careful going down. And be sure you’re heart can handle the trip back up.

Thanks for the bead head nymphe suggestion. This is Split Rock river and my first and only stream Steelhead.

It’s a beautiful time to be up there and there is zero pressure. May have to bring my fly rod up deer hunting.

Cool! Nice fish! That’s a lot better than the ones I found on the Gooseberry.

Having a deer camp near there would be really nice. I actually wanted to head up there last weekend but it’s impossible to get a room. The “leaf people” book well in advance

    Congrats on a nice fish!
