Loaded for Moose

    Leaving today around 1 to head to the Beautiful Boundary Waters to chase Moose.

    After a pretty large setback with the cedar strip canoe and some bad glue that broke on the gunnels, I decided to let the dream of bringing that go. I was heartbroken, but I thought the logical choice was to take the safe bet. We are now all loaded and ready to go, just waiting for one of the crew to be done with work and we will go.

    I feel very confident in the locations we have scouted, it is now just getting there and getting it done.

    Wish me luck. If you see me before October 17th, it means we got out moose

    Damn, dude! You’ve got me excited just reading about it. This sounds like a phenomenal trip. I hope you can put the icing on the cake and bring home a big rack! Can’t wait to hear the story.

    Posting from the road. What a trip. I will have pictures and details as soon as I can. On day 7 we saw our first moose and were able to harvest a nice 40 inch bull. 2 and a half days of the hardest work I have done for about 14 hours a day and we made it out. Could not be happier.

    Sorry it took so long, but getting back, spending time with the family and butchering meat took a little bit of time.
