    I saw the drawing results are posted on the WY website.

    My daughter and I each drew tags for speed goats

    That is awesome!! You guys must be stoked! Wish you two the best of luck and hope to see some pics when you get back. How many years did you end up applying? Bow or Gun?

    This is the first year she applied – (youth)and got her prong buck tag. Planning on getting a couple doe tags over the counter. Our unit is grossly over populated. When we were out shooting prairie dogs last year we saw hundreds of prongs. The few ranches we were at all wanted us to come back and take a few antelope, so how do you argue with that. She’s hyped to take her first one with a bow, but so far she’s limited to under 40 yards. Hopefully she’ll be shooting over the 50’s by fall.

    I’m taking the lazy man’s approach – .270. If they had allowed group hunting like gun deer here in WI, I would just let her fill all the tags and I would be content to just video her.

    Awesome. You should take the 25-06. I think that would be a lot more “fun” on the speed goats…

    I wish the 22-250 was legal for prongs out there. I figure I’ll have about 500 to 600 rounds loaded by then just never know when you’ll run into a colony of rats and need to make some owl food!

    I shot quite a few deer growing up with the 22 250. What a fun gun!! The only gun I liked better was my 25 06. I can’t wait for my daughters to be old enough to hunt. Either one of those calibers will be their first gun. Best of luck, I can’t wait to read the report!
