I’ve been leisurely searching for a guided Canadian moose hunt for over a year, and have struck out. Here’s my issues..Problem #1: I’m hunting by myself. #2: I don’t want to spend $10K plus, so I feel like I’m limited to ontario. The FEW outfitters that will take a solo hunter are booked out for about 5 yrs. I’d really like to get setup for 2012. Does anyone have any names of outfitters that could help me?

Can’t go wrong here…. Wolverine Lodge I have been Bear hunting here (going sunday again ) not Moose, but have seen plenty of Moose and they have a high success rate, and BIG BULLS Tell Russ, Glen Ertl sent you and he might not jack the price up on you Just kidding, I know he has hunts open yet and think you could negotiate a good deal with the economy down

Thanks for tip..looks like a nice place. What’s the terrain like in that part of Manitoba? Is it typical Ontario Canadian Shield? Good Luck on your hunt…I’m going on my 1st bear hunt this August. I may need some pointers from you when you return.

Peace River, Alberta offers some great hunting. This guy only outfits for archery hunters and he is far cheaper than $10k. The drive is 32hrs non-stop from Rochester, MN. PM me for details. He only has two moose hunters per year and has openings for next year’s season. These critters are currently at the Taxidermy and should be done soon. They are Canadian moose so they are not huge like the Alaskans, but there is really no better eating.
