I just got back from Wyoming early this am. What an awesome time!! The antelope I shot on Oct. 1 the opening morning of the season. He was chasing does around a hillside and I got within 160 yds and took the shot. I took out both front shoulders and he didn’t go far. The weather was very hot with most days in the 80’s. So the bigger muley’s were laying low and moving at night. On the second day I passed on a descent 4×4. But as the week progressed we were just seeing smaller bucks. So on wed. am I was working down a draw and spotted 13 does and a 3×4 buck. I watched them for a while and didn’t see any other bucks with them. I really liked the height of this deer’s rack and decided to take him. I wasn’t going to be able to get any cloeser with all those eyes around so it was a 325 yd shot. He was hit hard but it was a lil far back but he didn’t go far. He bedded down 20 yds away and I was able to walk right up on him and put another shot into him. I was really happy it was my first mule deer. We also found a lot of sheds, skulls. It was so warm that the rattlesnakes were on the move. We ended up killing a few of them and a big bull snake, and also a few porcipines. It was a great trip enjoy the photos. Justin

Looks like an awesome hunt. I don’t know much about antelope but that looks like one heck of a buck I’m envious of the shed finds

I meant to ask you, were there rabbits and coyotes EVERYWHERE? I don’t know how many dogs we shot in 04 when we were elk hunting out there.
