That’s awesome. It would be helpful if that poster/ad had the address for folks, but I looked it up and see it’s on North Broadway, just south of the river.

I was actually going fishing in the area this past Sunday and was literally right in that area and planned on getting waxies from a Kwik Trip that had had them before. They didn’t have any. I called another Kwik Trip that was on the way and they didn’t have the either. So I had to drive out of the way south to Scheels, park far away, go in a busy store, up to the second level, all the way to the back to the fishing section (I know, first world problems). After all that and the backtracking I thought “damn, Rochester needs a true bait shop again.

Do you know what they’ll have regularly for bait?

Thanks for posting, this is great news.

Yes the address would help. They are at 1117 N Broadway Ave # 1, Rochester, MN 55906. It is right accross from silverlake.

Depending on the time of the year he has waxies, crawlers, leaches, minows, suckers, willow cats and has been working on locking down a supplier for chubs.

Scheels is lucky they sell any live bait making people go to a mall, up to 2nd level and all the way to the back. If I’m buying bait, I’m just getting bait, not sunglasses, not shorts, etc, etc.
I rarely buy live bait but if I do, I will definitely stop at this place. Location is not the best with guys pulling a boat. Hope they do good!
