My minnkota 80V ipilot stopped working. i emailed minnkota and got some troubleshooting tips which im gonna try tonight but assuming that doesn’t fix it can anyone recommend a service center? Looking online i see Capras in Blaine and Formula Propeller and Marine in Dayton service them. Fish-Lectronics says they are closed. Couldn’t pay me to take a product to Dans. If anyone has any feedback about the quality of service from Capras or Formula Propeller and Marine in Dayton let me know.

    Thanks

edit – i called Fish-Lectronics and they are indeed open. the Minnkota website has the wrong information on them. Seems like they have the most techs available to work on them so turnaround would be fastest. Might just bring it to them

I had Fish Lectronics repair a Minnkota a few years ago. They got it done quickly and I thought the price was very fair.

Motor clinic in bloomington, but the others mentioned are probably closer. Good luck!

Just picked up my motor from Fishelectronics last Thursday. Was 3 weeks for Minnkota to ship parts. About a day for the shop to do the repair.

Fish-Lectronics customer myself since the 80’s.

Friend of mine has used Motor Clinic with good service as well.

Glad to hear good reviews. I’ll use them in the future. Before I took mine in I tested the batteries with a multimeter and found one was low. Found an old deep cycle off my old boat, cleaned it up and hooked that up and now I’m getting full power. Always good to check the little things you’re capable of doing before taking it to a shop. The trolling motor was reading a full charge and I had charged the batteries using the oboard charger so I assumed they were good. Glad I checked
