This one had to really sting for the queen fans. The packers are now 2-0 and in first place. Undefeated.

    Lol,
I’m a sports fan from MN. Nothing stings anymore, other than listening to P A call a game.

Holy crap football is a mess. I’ll take the W as a pack fan but this PI on reviewed plays is a giant turd of a rule. I’m not gonna argue on whether the rule was applied correctly, just the sheer fact that this rule is a thing is just absurd.

Any update on the final score of the game and who won? Cable is still out and we have no internet down here.

Is there someone who can tell me who the losers are? I’ll figure out the winners after that. Thanks.

I’m not pulling my lawn chair out of the firepit quite yet.
    I’m not a Cousins guy.
He has weird stats, he can throw for miles and miles but he fumbles a lot of can’t win any big games.

    You nailed EPG! bow

    21-16 Packers

I have been giving Cousins the benefit of doubt, but starting to think he is not the answer. He had another poor game. Throwing up a 50/50 ball (at best) in the red zone on 1st down. Stupid!

And agree with Tangler the PI rule blows. Take away that Diggs touchdown?? Total BS

Oh…. and we still have a kicking problem doah

I have never seen the replay review add a penalty not called on the field. I do not know if that has precident.

Cousins was weird, he is usually very accurate. The guy running wide open in the first GB TD drive, that was an error and an ugly one.

It has precedent from last weeks Jets game and this week it also happened in the patriots game. The NFL has said this is going to be a thing this year. I don’t agree with it nor like it but it looks like it is here to stay.

Alright, I’m officially done with cousins and I’m hoping we focus on having his replacement ready for when his contract is up. I’ve defended cousins to date not because I think he is the 2nd coming of Brett Favre but because he was the best option we had and i thought he was a decent QB. Something ain’t right with him. It’s not physical, it’s not scheme or an inability to read the defense, I think the moment is too big for him. He folds under pressure. We need to spend some draft capital next year on a QB.

I am in the exact same boat you are. When we signed him, I was fairly optimistic as he didn’t really have much to work with during his time in Washington, seemed like a nice guy, and knows the game. But you can’t ignore that more often than not (not all the time, but most of the time) he folds when the lights are the brightest. IF we make it through the season well enough for Spielman to keep his job, I really hope that a round 1-3 pick is used on a QB for the future.

Pretty sure you’re the only one that still runs with this bit RR, not sure where the humor is in it, but you do you man! Funny how many Packers fans come crawling out from under the bar after they narrowly win at home against one of the worst statistical QB days in NFL history.

There’s no excusing Cousins or the refs performance. The rules are now setup in a way that the refs can’t be good, miss a big call on 3rd down and a team gets screwed, make the right call on a TD and they look for PI away from the play. No win situation. Cousins did have a couple awesome throws, the deep Diggs TD and Beebe’s 61 yarder, but I doubt this poor performance is a trend for him, and our Defense has given up 21 points in 2 weeks. To quote everyone’s favorite whiner, R-E-L-A-X, the Vikes still win the division.

Bigwerm are you really that bitter that you are going to blame the new rules and the refs for the loss? Is it the new rules that put you purple down 21 points in the first quarter? Come on man, us Packer fans have always been here and you know it. Every team has to use the same rules. Take a little ownership for the loss, rub some dirt on the wound and come back strong next week.

You guys haven’t been on this thread until the Packers squeak one out at home, then you, BMan, Riverruns and Targa run right to this thread to gloat, which was my point. And I’m not bitter we didn’t play well enough to win, particularly the QB as I clearly stated, not sure where you are getting that from. I was just pointing out how bad the refs were in this and many other games this and every weekend, and I don’t think it is even the refs fault with the way the rules are designed. The Rodgers Rule gifted the Bears a win, the Saints got hosed for the 3rd week in a row dating back to last year, and there is no consistency in PI calls which greatly impacted the outcome of this game.

That’s all I wanted to see, thank you.

As far as us Packer fans invading your thread, I am going with the Reese’s theme, NOT SORRY.

Best of luck to the purple next week waytogo

Bigwerm, I wasn’t gloating, just happy to cheer on my team.

Like I said, it was a tough win.

After the way the Packers played week one and the Vikings played week one I didn’t think the Green and Gold had a very good chance, even being at home.

Both teams still have a lot of improving to do to be contenders in a few months.

To call out the Vikings to take the division this early is comical, especially with what they’ve shown to date. The same goes for the Packers…..

Tons of ball left to play.

This was my takeaway too. A good battle of bad teams that are really going to need to get it together to go anywhere.

It looked at different times like each team was trying to hand the win to the other team. Almost unwatchable.

The NHL has created an absolute sh!tshow with this review system and the bad news for the Vikes (and some other teams) is that AFTER the league throws the whole system overboard, it will have still cost them the game.

Honestly, the NFL league office must be the most retarded head office in all of professional sports, worldwide. If the commish and the whole league staff were to be locked in a brewery, could they even organize a party and manage to get drunk? My money would be on “no”. They would instead hold a meeting and create a Alcohol Awareness Committee…

Case Keenum may not have been a great quarterback. But was better for the Vikings than Cousins. Case Keenum had the entire team behind him. Cousins doesnt have that. His teammates dont like Cousins.

I actually had too look up who that was. Up until you posted this I had never heard of the name. Picture came from a die hard nephew that lives in MN. I guess he sees the humor in it as I do. You should try a size larger pair of undies. I think yours are binding you up, and making you irritable?? Good luck with your Vikings.

If you have ever followed any of my other comments on the NFL, I put All Star Wrestling one notch above the NFL for reality.

I saw the humor in it too, just returning the jest, so nothing in a bunch here, besides NFC North championships. You should know who Carl is, he IS an owner after all, much like so many Packers fans… rotflol
