New Orleans was also 11-1 at home in the playoffs in their last 12 home games. Just sayin’

SF can probably win this game simply by throwing at Rhodes every 2-3 plays. Either he will miss the play or get flagged for pass int. Don’t really have to worry too much about getting picked off….

Absolutely Spot on, he is the Vikings weak link on Defense.
January 10, 2020 at 2:41 pm #1905152I hate to burst everyone’s bubble but since 2013 wild card teams are 10-6 in the first round, in the second round they are winless. 6 seeds have only a 3% chance of winning a super bowl. It will not happen for the vikes.
So your saying they have a chance !!!!
January 10, 2020 at 3:03 pm #1905164I see a lot more so called football experts picking Minnesota this week than were last week. To me it will come down to a few key factors:
1. Can the Vikings Offense control the clock with long drives and finish with TD’s.
2. Cook and Mattison will need to have a good game. SF Run defense ended the year ranked worse than NO’s
3. Thielen’s injury not a be a factor. My guess is he will man up and end the game with a bloody sock.
4. Turn overs – Mn. +11 SF. only +4 – I like our odds
5. Can Rhodes have a good game – Don’t like our odd’s
6. Can they get their TE’s more involved.Overall I like our chances. I know if I was in Vegas and had some money – I’d take the Vikings and the points ( Was 8 pts the last I saw )

That team has a 100% chance of winning
January 10, 2020 at 3:35 pm #1905178I think we’re gonna rock Jimmy G’s world and rattle his cage, another big game by Cook and Mattison and Diggs is the big play receiver this week, Vikes 24 – 49ers 17
January 10, 2020 at 3:51 pm #1905181Well let’s see a repeat of 32 years ago. Vikes came off with a win against NO in a wild card game to face the top seed 49ers to win 36-24. Just don’t look at our track record in the playoffs against the 49ers. Regular season tied with 23 wins and a tie.
January 11, 2020 at 11:40 am #1905354Just got done watching the NFL pregame show. 2 of the so called experts picked the Vikings. 2 others went back and forth between teams. If they can pull off another upset this week – watch out. I bet next week all those experts will be on the bandwagon. I think it should be a great game. Then again this is the Vikings, you just never know what team is going to show up. I guess that’s why they play the game. GO VIKINGS !!!
bigpikePosts: 6259January 11, 2020 at 12:12 pm #1905361Let’s see the Vikings pull the upset today. I would love to see the Vikings in Lambeau next week for all the Nfc marbles assuming the Packers can handle a beat up Seachicken team. Can you imagine all the monkey talk around here if that happened? I worry about it happening as they seem very up and down. Getting crushed at home with the division on the line was not a good look for a team with super bowl aspirations. But every team is flawed and every team has had bad looks this year. It will be a fun weekend. I’m rowing the viking boat today!
January 11, 2020 at 1:15 pm #1905370With the experts picking the Vikes, is it an upset? Hopes for a clean game by the refs and no injuries.
January 11, 2020 at 1:46 pm #1905375Interesting stat.
While watching North Dakota State ESPN ran a stat that the Vikings hadn’t won more then 1 play-off game in a season since 1987.
Anyway, NDSU leads 28-20 with about 6:55 left in the 4th quarter.
January 11, 2020 at 1:57 pm #1905380If the Vikes can establish the run, pass rush Jimmy G enough that he gets happy feet, and keep Kittle from having a monster game, they’re headed for a big game in Green Bay next week!
SKOL
January 11, 2020 at 2:09 pm #1905387stat that the Vikings hadn’t won more then 1 play-off game in a season since 1987.
We should have in 2009 when the dirty, cheating Aints cheated their way to the SB.
Yep, that one still burns and always will. They should have been stripped of the title.January 11, 2020 at 2:17 pm #1905391It wasn’t the biggest loss in Vikings history. Just one of those things that happens in sports. It’s why they start a new season every year.
January 11, 2020 at 3:56 pm #1905412Comparing our 1st drives against each other, we suck.
how do you feel about our 2nd drive?

Better!
B-manPosts: 5811January 11, 2020 at 4:12 pm #1905415How about the third so far?
I’m rooting for the Vikes today. IF the Packers can pull off a win tomorrow I’d rather we play the purple for a third time (it would be in GB), than the 9er’s on their turf

Nothing, knee was down
January 11, 2020 at 4:58 pm #1905440The Vikes offensive line just continues to suck at pass blocking. The trench battle looks like a D-1 college team vs the local high school squad.
January 11, 2020 at 5:18 pm #1905445Sherman can’t even take credit for that pick, as they brag him up endlessly. Cousins threw it right to him.
AnonymousInactivePosts: 0January 11, 2020 at 5:30 pm #1905449Well to be fair……..
San Fran had the better record.
San Fran is at home.
San Fran had 2 weeks of rest.
San Fran was / is the favorite.
San Fran is the better team.
Still not over yet.January 11, 2020 at 5:32 pm #1905450At this pace, I’ll pick 9ers to beat whoever they play next. It’s not like their tired. I swear they’re all smiling after every play saying “this is exactly what we practiced for”!
B-manPosts: 5811January 11, 2020 at 5:40 pm #1905452If the 9er’s win tonight and the Packers pull a win off tomorrow…..the Packers are going to have a hell off a battle ahead of them.
The Vikings are still in it, but that punt fumble was a killer. They could be down three scores shortly. Should have been down by 7, 11 or 14 at best….not 17 or 21.
Still a lot of game left though.
