Dang it. If we could just not play teams with a winning record, we’d be 15-0. devil

You just have to laugh at this team. How many times can they completely just lay an egg in a big game? Almost unbelievable

I disagree. Cooks is one of the best backs in football and a true game changer. He’s as good if not better than Jones and we saw what he was able to do. You think in Jamal Williams is making those plays today? Hell no. I’m not saying we would have won with cooks in the lineup but to say his absence didn’t matter is wrong

Cook or not, Pack overcame 3 or was it 4 turnovers?…and still dominate? Packers D is not what we thought they were. 7 Viking first downs for the whole game??

It’ll be interesting, as it is every year. 49’rs, Seattle, seem to be sinking…and they play next week. That leaves NO or Philly. roll

Road to the SB looks good for the Pack.

Hell of a night for the Smith boys and Jones

Green Bay is rocking right now in the division, but they have their work cut out for them coming up

If the Niner’s lose next week the Packers get deep by default waytogo

From there it’s up to them

I don’t see them going to the big game myself, but somehow they’ve been chugging right along

That said, tons of football left. The Vikes could turn right around and kill it in the playoffs

    Side note: Go SEAHAWKS!!

o line got embarrassed and the play calling was atrocious. you cant win throwing the ball side to side. no kool aid for me…..the Vikings are who we thought they were and thats it.

The Vikings offensive line, quarterback, and playcalling are clearly built as a package in a way that puts all the hypothetical “eggs” in one basket. The second the running game meets adversity, the team is SOL. They are a terrible pass blocking unit protecting a QB who plays well from ahead and gets a majority of his big hitters on play action concepts. Running the ball is huge, but there has to be more of the easy completions (screens, hitches, slants, rub routes, etc) for Cousins if he’s going to be “the guy” and win big games where an opposing defense can stifle the run.

    Other Miscellaneous Observations:
    -Bradbury is not very good
    -Rhodes is not very good
-Harrison Smith is still very good
-Kyle Rudolph could be a top notch TE if he was in a system that utilized him
-The Packers need production from the TE position with the no name WRs outside of Adams
-The Packers defensive front is very underrated and doesn’t get the accolades it deserves
-The Vikings have a lot of decisions to make in the offseason as things are going to be very tight with the salary cap

Big Z might not be on the pro bowl roster but he is All Pro.
And not just for this game.
This game he debacled the viking o line using a catch phrase from another great Smith.

Zadarious Smith couldn’t be stopped. One man wrecking crew. Looking like a date in New Orleans in the wild card round at this point.

Terrible offensive play calling, a terrible offensive line and a QB that does not have the “it” factor all doomed the Vikes as it will doom them in the playoffs.

Good QB’s play their best in big games, not their worst.

That was a Ugly game for sure. Just uglier for the Vikings. Cousins looked once again like the player he was early in the season. He just looked scared right from the start. He simply just isn’t a big game player. Some players have it and some don’t – Cousins doesn’t. Rhodes was his usual self. Every replay showed him getting burned. As far as Zimmer goes – I have never been a Zimmer Fan. If Cousins, Rhodes, and Zimmer are still with this team next season – They will be a average team at best once again. As for Green Bay – they are not going anywhere in the playoffs. They are just not that good.

The Packers look like they should be fighting for the number one pick, but might be the #1 seed in the NFC. Don’t be surprised if they’re in the Super Bowl.

6 teams make the playoffs in each conference every season. That means 10 teams from each conference don’t. Would you rather be a playoff team or a non playoff team? If you answer the latter then there is no point in even playing a single game all season.

My hope is that the Packers game showed the Vikes are playing for the long game. I think the Packers beating Da Bears the week prior made that our best possible play. No need for the Offensive staff to be burning the midnight oil with the most possible outcome being Packers as Division Champs.

For the record on the Bears game. I hope Zimmer sits as many defensive players as feasible. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings if he did the same things with the Offense. But I do think, there are some valuable reps to be had vs. the Bears D. If I was Zimm, I would give the starting Offense a max of three possessions.

    Bass,
I agree, and believe that’s what they’ll do. So I’m going to watch All Star Wrestling reruns.

The Vikes had their spot before the Packer game. They still have it before the Bears game and can’t lose it. I think they were just burning time with the Pack and will do so again with the Bears and saving the players for when it matters. Think about it….why should they risk any further injuries to players during a regular season that’s already over for them. I think the play-offs will be another story.

The Vikings will fold like a cheap tent in the playoffs. They just don’t have the moxie for a big game.

“ I think the play-offs will be another story.”

I think it’ll be the same old story, same old song and dance. But you just wait till next year, they look like they could finally get to the promise land. jester

Looks to me like the Vikings are two years away from being two years away.

    Reason for optimism!
