Just a reminder for those turkey hunters who want to hunt either of the 1st 2 time periods. The application deadline is Jan. 22nd ( Friday ) After the 1st 2 periods all license are sold over the counter.
My brother and I want to apply, but we’ve never done it before and I have a few questions.
1. Do we have to go together to apply as a group in person? That is not covered on the DNR website.
2. Does anyone have a working map of the zones? The one on the DNR website has an error.

To answer the 1st ? – No you do not need to go together to apply as a group. The 1st person who applies says they want to create a group. They will be given a group #. When the other members apply they will be asked if they are part a of group. Say Yes and give them the group #. As far as the map goes the one on the DNR site works for me.

As far as the map goes, can you tell me which zone the Mankato/Owatonna area is?
That is tough to pinpoint on the map. My guess is area 503. The DNR sure could do a better job of outlining the Area’s. Le Sueur Co is in 503. Nicollet and Blue Earth Co looks to be in area 505
