While fishing over the weekend I was able to capture this amazing sunset. It was an incredible view. The fishing was a bit slow, but the weather was perfect – a gently breeze, no bugs, birds singing, a turtle swam by, and I had a wonderful time laughing and hanging out with people I love. Doesn’t get much better than that! (Well, except perhaps if the panfish had been cooperating. wink )

I hope you didn’t tip your guide. He must not be very good.

I love photos like that. Look at it for just a moment and you can feel the peace and imagine the natural sounds surrounding!
Here is a sunrise I photographed a few years ago on Little Boy Lake near Longville.

He’s the coolest guide I know! I tipped him with jerky, although I ate my fair share of it too… whistling

We saw similar clouds after the storm, pics do not do it justice. They looked like puffy cotton balls.

Very cool! I didn’t even think to take a video. I’ll have to do that next time.

I am heading up to bemidji this friday cant wait!!!!!
for some reason,I have to see every sunset I can while there.
the light coming across the waters surface and landing at my feet stirs me somehow.
it is only then my soul finds contentment

Don’t overlook sunrise! The photo I took above (previous post) was just before I stepped in my boat to head out so early in the morning. Better fishing and the beauty and tranquility being out on the lake while everyone else was still in bed, no better way to start the day! Enjoy your time up there. Precious are those moments.

Sharon,I think it stems from my belief that religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell, spirituality is for people that have already been there.
I know thats a quote from somewhere, but cant find it at the moment, but it fits me pretty well.
    thanks for the kind words!!
