Just curious what this stadium is like for crappy weather. We are supposed to go to a Loons game on Saturday night and it looks like it is going to raining and sh@@@y. This would be our first time to the stadium but wondering how covered you are. Looks like a pretty cool stadium.

    Thanks,

I don’t know about their field, but their license plate is pretty cool.

Depends on your seats and where the wind is coming from. It’s pretty enclosed for the most part, except the first 20ish rows all the way around, and dependent on the wind. I’m not a “don’t go into the cities” guy, but I would not recommend walking around that area after dark. There’s not much to do in walking distance anyway, but just a heads up.

Dress for it, rain gear and a flask are a must.

I respectfully disagree. Turf club, Midway saloon, Ax Man surplus are very close/nearby along with other places. I lived in the area and it’s diverse, not dangerous, especially on game nights with how much police presence is there.

Agree with dressing for weather and a flask. We were there for the international game last winter where the opposing team challenged the win due to hypothermia. Cold, but it was a blast!

I second this. There’s no ramps or anything it’s just a few lots and street parking.

Never understood the parking thing from the get-go.
THere was room for at least some parking if not more if they were creative. I just assumed they were trying to “gentrify” the area.
My son goes occasionally and his buddy lives down there. Also have a branch I visit down there too. They all recommend straight to the vehicle or Uber afterwards – do NOT dally. Their advice from experience. I have no personal advice as I do not frequent any parts of Minneapolis.

Allianz Field is in St Paul.

Park downtown in a ramp or surface lot. Jump on the light rail. You get dropped off in front of stadium in 10 minutes.
