Minn Kota will not lock in down position

    Is there any way to replace or repair the lock that keeps the trolling motor down in the water?

    What model? The locking mechanism is different between the different Minn Kota models. Post a picture or two if you can.

    I have the Edge 55. It sometimes won’t lock either and just needs a good kick downward.

    Lubrication. Spray that thing.
