Hello everyone, this is my first post and there looks to be a lot of good information on here.
I’m looking for opinions from multi species owners on the new Ultrex. I am getting a different boat ( Triton 216 ) and since I am used to my old Maxxum with cable steer, I am considering an Ultrex. I mainly fish for walleyes and bass. I fish Lake Erie and Detroit River a lot. It seems that most guys are going with the Ulterra but the electric steer concerns me a little for fishing in the rivers with a lot of current where boat control is critical. The Ultrex comes in a 60″ and it seems that everyone with terrovas on multi species boats have that length and do ok with it. The Ultrex just seems like the best of both worlds. Thanks

I don’t know anything about a Ultrex. I have had Maxxums for years and really like them. My last two boats one had a Terrova and this boat has a Ulterra on it. I really like the self deploy & stow feature of the Ulterra. That said not a fishing trip goes by that I didn’t wish I still had a Maxxum.
