I have a 2017 model ulterra and I have been having issues with it fully deploying. I have to assist it up other wise it gets stuck about 5 degrees short of vertical.

If anyone else has had this issue I’d be glad to hear what others are experiencing

A friend had a different issue. First it stopped working. Couldn’t get it to do anything to turn back on. When he hit the button to stow, it raised all the way up, but wouldn’t tilt. Once it was up the shaft started to turn counter clockwise wrapping the wires. He shut it off, and twisted the shaft by hand to unwrap the wires. Turned it back on and started spinning again. Looked on line how to reset the motor and it worked for an hour and started doing it again. Reset it again and made it the rest of the night. He brought it in to Skeeter boat center and they were able to get it to do the same thing. They replaced I believe the board and something else that I don’t remember. He hasn’t run it again to see if it is fixed. Great customer service from skeeter boat center. Hopefully it is fixed. They did say they hadn’t seen that issue until then. I was thinking about how nice the self deploy motor was up until that. I will wait a while to get the bugs worked out. The spot lock and remote are leaps and bounds better than the terrova’s I have had. Good luck with yours. Maybe call skeeter boat center and ask them if they have seen that issue.

I had some deploy and stow issues when I first got the motor. Minn Kota customer service walked me through some reset steps and all has been good. Minn Kota customer service has been as good as I’ve had.

Exactly, an easy fix for the authorized repair service center!
