I am thinking of getting MINN KOTA TERROVA 55LB 54″ W/IPILOT US2 12V and pairing with my Helix 7 with MEGA DI and MEGA SI. My understanding is MEGAS does not work with Terrova Transducer. Would the best bet be that I forgo connecting to Terrova and just use the Helix Transducer that it came with? or can I connect both.
My helix 7 mega DI works on my terrova but I have the built in mega DI ducer from Minn kota. Not sure if that is an option on the 12v terrovas as mine is the 24v. If that is not an option and DI is that important for your fishing style then I would just mount the ducer from your helix 7 to the trolling motor.
if you’re going to go through the hassle of running the DI/SI ducer down the shaft, just use the SI/DI screens…You would get the 2D signal if you hooked it up the US/2, but at that point why would you use it vs Mega DI/SI?

sorry, I misread your post then, I thought you were deciding between the Mega SI ducer or US/2 on the trolling motor….Absolutely go with the Mega ducer on the transom, if you ever add another Helix up front, you can use the Terrova US/2 ducer with it (that’s how my boat is setup)…I just use a simple Helix 5 sonar up front to quickly tell me depth, otherwise i’m livescoping…
