So just purchased the terrova with Ipilot link. I already have it mounted, but I am still waiting on the guy who is going too wire everything including the Ipilot link system. He’s going to do it Saturday, I want to fish prior. I know how to hook it to the batteries, so I can run it… but my question is; if I run the trolling motor without hooking up the Ipilot link will I F everything up? Last thing I want to do is wreck this 2,000$ investment.

You’ll be fine running it without Link.
Won’t mess anything up but you won’t have the link features available ( contour track, etc…) but won’t cause any problems.

Might need ur foot pedal.
The remote will work fine without the network set up as it communicates with the trolling motor and not the graphs. That said load the remote app on you phone or throw the foot pedal in for a backup. Never sure how long the rechargeable battery will last with the way you use the motor.
