Question? I had the Minn Kota composite mount on my old boat, but see they make a 2 piece aluminum slide mount also. I like the removal ease on the composite but the other mount looks to hold the motor better to the boat, Any feed back between the 2 for a 80lb 24v 60″ motor? Is this a Ford Chevy thing?

I’ve used the aluminum plate on a 24 volt 80# thrust MinnKota for 20 years. The last 4 were with a Terrova. No issues. It’s not hard to remove it from the boat.

The other advantage to the 2 piece aluminum slide mount is you can slide the t-motor back a few inches while launching/loading. This prevents the t-motor from catching on the bow winch. (A must have for my current boat.)
