My new boat came with a standard 75LBS Min Kota Powerdrive trolling motor. I then got a kit from ebay that allowed me to convert my existing head to an iPilot head thinking having all the cool gps features would be worth the upgrade. And I enjoy the features alright however when you are in the middle of the cast and the boat starts to go of course it is pain the the rear to control it. In other words you can use the remote control at the same time as casting.
With this upgrade I had to sacrifice my foot pedal controls, and I kind of miss it. I was wondering if I could still use the foot pedal somehow? The connection that usually goes into the foot pedal adapter is now taken by the ipilot control so I cannot have both? Could I splice into the wire and connect my foot pedal that way?
I called min Kota but they are willing to sell me the same foot pedal that I already have, and they are not telling me if that one has an adapter or not…
