My lite flite adaptor is stuck in my Milwaukee Fuel drill. I can not loosen the chuck at all. Anyone else ever have this happen? If so how did you get your chuck to open up?

Yep, I had a drill bit lock up in mine. I took it to Acme Tools and it was replaced under warranty. However, I did lose the drill bit.

Good luck getting your adaptor out, I couldn’t get the bit out no matter what I did.

I should add, Acme sent it in to Milwaukee and Milwaukee made the decision to warranty it. Acme tried to get the bit out back in their shop also and couldn’t.

If you have the non-updated version of the lite filte adapter the top of it has a small collar on it that gets hooked inside/behind the jaws. Put a channel lock on it and see if it will pop loose. Also sometimes the left handed thread chuck bolt will loosen up in the chuck and needs to be tightened.

I had that happen. If you can get whatever is in there, bit or drill, it’s usually just the screw in the back/bottom of the chuck. Just tighten it.

I got it to loosen. Vice Grips did the trick.

I called Milwaukee about the problem When it happened to me and they told me that the Chuck loosening up because of that screw inside it is very very common. Did you check the screw?

Check your chuck carefully to make sure you didn’t scar the chuck and stand up some little metal slivers that will slice up your hand really badly the next time you tighten the check. Very easy to miss this, you can believe me on that. Ouch.
