I inherited one of these from a family friend. Their exact words were, ‘use it if you want, if not, sell it.’

Trying to find information on this saw, it’s a pretty old electric saw by the looks of it, weighs a ton but is in great shape.

It’s way too heavy and the cord make it not very useful to me, but don’t know where to list it and for how much it might be worth.

Seems like maybe a collectors item, I’ll get more pictures when I get home but it’s like 100% metal construction, no plastic to be found on this thing.

Does it look like a traditional chain saw? Being corded and heavy I wonder if it’s a splitting saw used in the slaughter houses / processing plants.

Yeah it does look normal, but to be honest I don’t know what a splitting saw would look like :).

It looks like this, except with more…finishing.

Red paint job, black handle, etc.

I’ll try to get a picture of the whole thing when I get home. I don’t see myself using it, but maybe there’s a collector out there who would give it a good home.

I believe that model was produced in the early to mid 1970s. The combination of the Arab oil embargo and the appearance of Dutch Elm Disease producing lots of free firewood made wood burning very popular back then.

IMO, list it on eBay if you don’t want it. If there are collectors out there looking for one, that’s where they will be.

No update on price yet. I plugger her in this weekend and she runs great though!

I’ll update if I find anything more out. I need to peruse some collectors forums when I get a chance.

Those were very popular for demo work. There were carbide blades available and they could rip through light steel and nails.

I don’t know about a collector’s value, but guys needing to raze structures may be interested

As long as you are by an electrical outlet, I’d bet on you.

JK, let me know if you change your mind!

I can’t outbid the $5000 that Charles is willing to spend on a trophy tool like this. You get these high-dollar, price-is-no-object collectors and they just push the little guy right out of the market.
