Mille lacs wind

Planning another trip with fam for this year. Loved Hunter Winfield’s last year but looking for easier beach access this year. North end is obviously one big play area but I don’t want to have to boat miles for fishable areas either(yeah I get it, big water, cruising necessary) I like my rocks and structure. Also don’t want to have to fight wind which I would assume there is better chance than not to be coming from the West?

What’s that happy medium I may be searching for gurus of the big water?

Nittis and fishers look real nice.

If you are worried about the wind we have a protected harbor here and we are only 2.5 miles away from the beach. Depending on how you like to fish we have sand/weedlines to the north for pike and musky. Rock to the south for walleye and bass. 2.5 miles to the 28-32′ mud to sand transition (good leadcore trolling in that area, and 5 miles to the nearest mud flats. Give us a call if you are interested.

I’ll second Fishers. They have a great spot there and do a great job for the day fisher!!
Coming from Cloquet it’s the only spot I launch out of. The “Jug” has got to be hot by now grin

Appledoorn’s has a nice beach and is relatively close to the structure you like. Strictly from a fishing perspective I would be looking at the north end, Fishers or the Red Door, tough to beat the mud flats and depending on the wind good options close to shore as well.
