Well guys went out with high hopes of catching a pile o smallies on Mille lacs. We went out of isle. We fished all the rock piles on that side of the lake. We found fish, 8-12 ft but all were very skiddish. They didn’t want to bite. I even had a group of fish part around my bait. I tried it all. Tubes of all colors, jigs of all sorts, soft plastics of all kinds. Wacky of all sorts, spinners, Huskies, cranks, we threw all we had in the boat but live bait. We did get a handful of fish. The only thing we had any luck with was rage craw green/brown Texas rigged. But hey that’s why it’s called fishing. Not looking for sympathy just wanted to give a report.
