Mille Lacs tip ups

Hey, I have next week off. Anyone have a general area on Mille Lacs to target pike? I’ve always wanted to chase tip-ups on the big pond, but my walleye fever gets in the way. This might be the time.

I would try along the bays on the south end or Wealthwood on the north end.

I like Waylon bay and out towards half moon island staying on the wee line out there.

Does Mille Lacs have a different season? I thought pike and walleye closed at the end of February.

Mille Lacs might have different regs though.

Northern Pike: Possession limit is five, except only one may be 30″ or greater. However, before taking a northern pike 30″ or greater a person must take two northern pike less than 30″ that same day and the fish must be in immediate possession. Anywhere you find a goody weedline will be a good choice. There are also some great options up on the North out of Red Door that are often overlooked… I know Steve’s kids caught some huge pike right out from the resort this winter.
