Samz Outdoor Team will be up and working out of the Red Door Resort. Gringos will be present and in full force in the boat. Good luck and safe travels to all!

Weather could be worse, could be better too. Hope the sun pokes out and gets the shallows sparking off.

The crew will be up there on Friday for our golf and drinking outing then we have a whole list of small lakes off of the north side we are going to give a couple of them a shot, maybe even the river, but Sunday night we will be up on the Wealthwood sand

I’ll be up Thursday night getting things settled and then hit the water at sun up Saturday. Prolly go pound smallies for the most part, but will give the eyes the attention they deserve.

I plan to be there at midnight either wading or from shore. Looks like it’s going to be on the cool side in the early morning. I guess I better get my jerks ready. But first I’ll be throwing swimbaits. I’ve never actually caught a swimbait walleye on Mille Lacs, but I didn’t start throwing them until the past couple of years. I have caught most of my eye’s on them in that time, just not at Mille Lacs.

All the while sales of fishing license took a healthy jump this year to date.
