Nice day but only a few boats out on the north side. I saw 5 at the most at anyone time. Afternoon bite with lindy rigs and leeches was slow with one every hour or so. The night bite was great. 2 boats with 4 guys easily caught over 50 on bobbers in 13-15 fow. Fish were 15-27″. My friends repeated on tuesday evening. Water temp 49-51 F.

Any chunky fish? I realize they are spawned out but the pics I been sent of 25″ and longer fish look like they haven’t had a meal in a long long time. They were barely wider than the measuring board. This can’t be normal or is it?

We caught a bunch of chunky ones over the weekend, as well as some really skinny ones. It is normal for any lake this time of year, as it all depends on where in the spawn cycle that individual fish is.

I fished on the north side on Tuesday and caught a number of bigger fish, up to 27″ and all looked very healthy and thick. I caught one 17″ male that “milked” all over the boat. Water temp was 47-48 degrees.
