I used to have a membership a few years ago. It got really crowded and camping spots were few.
It’s BUSY! Mostly seasonals now. Lots of kids.
The channel is deep enough to get boats thru but narrow.
Fishing isn’t too far but a couple miles out to get clear of the bay. Early fishing close by but then mostly have to get a few miles out.
When they converted all the open areas to seasonals it was too much activity to suit me so we quit.

This will be my 19th year with a park model there. Usually spend 4-5 days a week up there all season long. Only seems to get crowded on the longer 3 day holidays, during the week it’s very quiet. There’s young, middle age, and older people there depending on what group you want to hang with.
I fish allot and some years I never leave the bay, other years the main lake is the Place to be. We also hit allot of the smaller lakes in the area north of Mille lacs.
We like the fact it’s such an easy drive from our home in the north metro. We can also ATV directly from resort to some amazing state trails. Before I became a snowbird we used to use our place allot during the winter, they keep a bath and shower house open year round. Not many campgrounds have that option! Unless you buy a new( which they sell) or a used trailer already on site There is a long waiting list to get a spot
My wife and I like it there!
    Any other questions pm me.

I’ve been in the coop section of the park for three seasons. The previous posts have summed it up really well.

The park is pretty quiet during the week.
I joke that the pool is for the retired people during the week then the kids take over on weekends.

I don’t think most weekends are too busy. The holidays can get crazy with everyone and their bother’s family visiting. We often find other things to do during the holidays.

I’m pretty sure they are not allowing new campers anymore, meaning park models only for new leases.

Last year they converted seasonal camping spots into park model lots. I would expect those lots to be available for sale soon if they aren’t all ready.

The park is mostly seasonal spots however there are about 50 lots that are owned by a coop, northeast section. The coop section can be identified by the mobile homes instead of park models, and the blue address signs.

Note, there aren’t enough slips for all of the seasonals. If buying in I’d try to wrangle an existing slip instead of starting back at the bottom of the queue.

Also, if your slip is in the front, there is only one way in and out of the “mote”, clockwise around to the northwest. So if your slip is at a 4:00 location, it’s a little ride around at idle.

Thanks for the heads up, I think I’ve moved on from there.
