Mille Lacs Guide Recommendations?

    With Mr Holst out of that biz, I’m curious if anyone has suggestions on who to go with?

    I don’t know Mille Lacs very well, and I’d like to take my brother in law up there in the next week or two to get on some Walleye and Jumbos.

    Any help, rates, stories appreciated.

    Bob “Bobber” Carlson is my first choice, I have fished with as well… He won the Mn Walleye tour this year and is a stalwart up there. The Fellegy’s post here quite a bit and are bona fide ML anglers… Tony Roach can’t be overlooked either and I am sure that there are others…

    I would get a hold of Tony Roach and see if he has any openings on the dates you are available. If he can’t fit you in, he may have some backup guides that he could recommend. I don’t guide at all and Steve fellegy doesn’t guide in the winter. Bobber bob is working full time at the red door resort, you will have to call there and find out if he is doing any winter guiding. Good luck in finding a guide on short notice and good luck on the day you are fishing.

    I would go with Chris Kuduk, he is a legendary 2 time Hall of fame fishing guide.

    Just called Mr Roach – He is open next week! But my schedule might have gotten hosed so we might be bumped a week or two so I’m pretty excited to have Tony get us on some fish

    Good choice. I have been on the ice with him and he does a great job taking care of his clients
