Good ice! Lybacks says if you are fishing shallower, you will need the extensions. I’m bringing mine this weekend. I’ve been out there off 3 mile reef on the east side the last few weekends and it was getting real close to needing it then so it probably is time to bring it just in case.

Look at the Feb 3rd fishing report entry for that information.

If your in a skid house blocked up…definitely will need it.. If your outside or wheelhouse maybe not… But i would have one along. Its really thick in some areas.

Yeah, my plans were to head to the Garrison area or south of Garrison, for some Pike. So, 10-17′, on the west side of the lake.

I’m surprised Fleet Farm doesn’t seem to carry an extension for an Eskimo power auger.

I’m 99% sure you’ll be fine without an extension as long as you’re not fishing in a blocked house. Never hurts to have it along though.

Fleet had them last week, they probably just sold out, it is kind of the prime time for them. If you can find that Clam one that adjusts it’s pretty slick, you never have to take it off.
