What colors does everyone have their best all around luck with on Mille Lacs in the winter for perch and walleye? Trying to figure out if I need even more lures

gold has always been a good color, same with anything perch colored

Gold, silver/glow, glow/green all use to be good.

Craig lets be honest, you can never have enough lures. Kinda like our wives and their shoes.

I hear ya Hardwater, but I just don’t want to be stuck with the hundreds of spoons I have and the fish are biting on something I don’t have…

I consider it my home lake as it’s 20 minutes from the cabin and we are always out there. If I had 1 blade or even lure for that matter, I have caught more walleyes on the emerald green/gold sweetish pimple out there than anything else. But sometimes that lure is a bust. It is my go to setup though and used for the most part.

I hammered big tulibee, jumbos, and eyes out there last year on the Northland UV buckshot in green.

You will never go wrong with perch colors on Mille Lacs. That said if you only wanted to have a handful of lures here are my top three lures specific for Mille Lacs.

    – Perch colored VMC Tingler (3/16 oz) – My go to spoon for clear-bright days
    – Glow Red Flash Champ (1/4 oz) – My go-to spoon for low light on clear days
    – Glow Green UV rattle spoon (1/4 oz) – My go to spoon for overcast days
