Mid Winter Perch

    Hello all.

I am in North eastern South Dakota. I live very close to a local lake that has a very solid perch and walleye population. I usually fish early ice and do very well on the perch. We fish the basin and once you find the fish it is crazy good. That lasts for a week or two but then nothing. What can I do to find the mid winter perch? I mark some still but never get on a big school that is active. The lake consists of a large basin in the north end with a large point running through, more of the flats on the west and south end. And then just deep flats out in the middle and east side. There are 2 rock piles, max depth of the lake is about 21ft with most basins being 16-20 thanks

Drill baby drill. Those schools can move 50 yards in 1 minute. PM me the name of the lake and I’ll come up and burn 2 bottles of propane punching holes to find the perch for ya. mrgreen
