Catching up after a bit of an absence with travel and what not. Seeing some good perch bites start to set up in the main lake basins. Moving as always is key, 23 TO 25 depths have been producing the larger schools. VMC rattle jigs in green and red are nice for schooling perch as they get you right back down where you need to be. Small subtle inside turns and small points concentrate fish better when looking to break down a large basin area. Ice is running 20 to 24 inches thick. Good luck to those getting out over the weekend. -QB

I’m heading that way next weekend… any lakes to focus on? I’ve heard some of the smaller sloughs near Roslyn have been producing some nice eyes in the evenings. I love your reports! Thanks!
