    Most bass have a fondness for the chatter bait. Pond, river or lake doesn’t matter where they live.

    I dont doubt that. The ponds were the first time I used them. I think they are better than spinnerbaits, my number 2 choice behind plastic worms.

    Caught 2 on a chatterbait at the pond this morning. I like the versatility of being able to buzz it under the surface when they are sitting against the bait at the crack or dawn. Then, without changing the lure I can fish it like a jig. I did that today because I got up their late. Both fish and a 3rd I missed took it on the drop.

    Chatterbaits have always served me well out on the water. They’re definitely one of my favorite bass lures to use.

    You can even deadstick them. One time I chucked it out and got a little birds nest. I was working it out when I heard and saw a bass jumping on the surface trying to spit out the chatterbait lol.
