First open water spring report 3-1-11

    I had the day off today so I decided to hit one our SE Wisconsin rivers in search of some steelhead or browns. It ended up being a decent day for the weather and I ended up landing 2 respectable hen brown trout. Both fish came on spawn sacks. Nice to have some open water again. Bring on Spring!

    Hopefully we get a slow melt and the rivers aren’t blown out to May. 40% chance of Rain on Friday, and temps in the 40’s next week. That should make it “Game-ON” if the rivers don’t over flow.
