browns and steelhead through ice

    Hi, myself and a friend are coming over to milwaukee to try ice fishing in the harbor this monday and tuesday,1-17 and 1-18. We will be trying spawn sacs and glup minnows. We were wondering what were the best hours to fish and does anyone fish at nite? Thanks any help would be great.

    The ice fishing has been slower than in previous years. Early morning and evening bites are generally better, but an over cast day can see sporadic action through out the day.

    I’ve caught a lot of browns over the years at night

    thanks for the reply We are looking forward to trying our luck. Just got back from ice fishing on lake pepin on the mississippi had pretty good time and caught some nice saugers today. GAS

    Well I am home again no fish but we hooked into a big brown monday morning that broke 10lb test line, saw the fish it was a beauty. The guy next to us landed a 10 lb brown. I will be back, it was a lot of fun. GAS
