With the Lake Michigan fishing still a couple of weeks away, I checked out the ice fishing this week. The Manitowoc Marina had a few brown trout starting to move in as well as up the river. Minnows off the tip up’s were working, but the bite was light, if you didn’t get there fast, they were gone. The action has been driven by the wind direction pushing the ice around.
