after a phone call from my cousin on fri am as i was headed over to algoma for the weekend he told me they got 13 fri the truck couldnt get there fast enough only to be greeted by stout south winds and building waves we hit the lake while it was still fishable less than steller 1 for 5 fri night woke up sat am to the building waves already built it was ugly with a small craft advisory out now we have a 28 ft four wynns so by no means is it a small craft be we choose to skip the morning as the wind was predicted to switch to west making the 1st few mile very fishable sat eve was a lot better but still a bit wierd as we met 44 degree water temps down 20 degrees from fri but the fish were still there we got 5 with back to back 20 lbers
but no fish after 8pm which is ussally when the bite starts sun am went back to the 50-80 fow that had been working nada zippo for a couple hours
then we came across a area that looked really wierd with water almost boiling right away we said this is the spot it was an 8 degree temp break we got 4 fish working this area but still couldnt put a real pattern together just shows mother nature is still the boss heres a few pics with more to come once i get them emailed to me

    best lures r & r razor spoons, blue j-plug #4, blue/white spoon

Thanks for the report. I’m heading over Thursday so any info is great. I can deal with waves…..just praying for no fog.
