It’s been a busy time after the salmon season. With the duck and goose hunting season, and a guest speaker spot for the NEWGLSF meeting, updating our website to include both of our fishing videos and helping out on a few trips in Little Bay De Noc. The cold weather had the action a little slow up on the bay, at the mouth there has been some very good action but the broken ice kept us working the northern end and waiting for a break in the action. The big fish are starting to move in now and with the extended walleye season this year there should be some big walleyes pulled out of the ice. Here’s a picture of Mark and Bruce with the fish that won the Judd Bordeau walleye tournament on LBDN last weekend they took 1st and 5th. I had alot of fun fishing with Steve and Mark. The 35-45 foot edges were holding the fish, and the Rapala’s jigged with minnows and the suckers on the tip ups worked. We picked up a couple of northerns and a few smaller walleyes.
