We had one trip last week and found 7 fish. The VK twinky lizard didn’t work for that trip, but the spoons on riggers showed us some action. Which one’s i’m not sure we changed up so often trying to get the piles of fish to bite in the cold water when we did catch a fish we changed the lure. The derby action over the 4th weekend would be rated at poor. 40-50 lb catches won the super tournaments and the fish did not cooperate. We found 1 rainbow on a flyer to the south in 35 -65 feet of water and pulled 2 fish in the super derby. A number of zero’s coming in. The water is ice cold and the baitfish are thick. The fish we caught are stuffed full. We need global warming to kick in at any time now and the fish to eat up the real bait and get back to feeding on our lures. Two weeks to get back on track for the Two Rivers Derby.
