A chilly morning fun run to knock the cob webs off the boat, boated us 6 for 10 rainbows. All the action was on the surface lines with orange or watermellon spoons. We fished through the long line of fish nets that are set up all around the area. I don’t recommend going through them unless you fully understand the flag configurations, a few boats have been hung up. The cold 39 degree water temps still need to come up a ways to get the action really going, but if it does stay cool the kings will be closer to shore, because the river is already jumping with bait fish when we ride out to the lake.
