A Little Help Here About Kewaunee Kings

Haven’t been salmon fishing for several years and thinking about heading to Kewaunee, Wisconsin for a charter or two. What should my expectations be about catching Kings there this time of year? Is there a better time of year to go there for Kings? If so when would that be? If the Kings aren’t in the Kewaunee area this time of year, what are they catching there this time of year? Thanks for the help!!! By the way, what are my chances of finding a good charter boat without a reservation?

Was just out of Sheboygan this past weekend. Caught 13- about a 10lb average, using my own boat. The kings are starting to think about going upriver, so I would say the likelyhood of catching fish would be good. All the fish were caught in 90-100 feet. Just pray for a west wind, that’ll bring them in closer. Charter?? Without a res. your chances might not be the best, but you never know.

Good luck- I want to know what they’re hitting on, be in Two Rivers on Labor Day!!

Try getting ahold of Willie Bee In Two Rivers- He always puts meat on the hooks!!

The kings are all up and down the whole Wi shore right now. I was out for a long weekend but the wind kept us off the water and we came home 2 days early. Expect ave kings in the low to mid teens with a shot at fish over 20 if you find the bigger 4 yr olds. I prefer the 15lb fish for eating.
