We didn’t get on the lake until afternoon on the 10th but got into the fish right away. 3 nice Kings in the first half hour, all right around the 10lbs mark. Had a slow down for 2 1/2 hours and then got right back into them and limited out by 7:00.

Saturday decided to sleep in and hit the access at 8:30, about the time the locals were coming in and got a great parking spot, ha ha. Again we got into the fish right away, catching 2 nice Kings, 13-5 and 14-2 in the first hour and limited out by 1:00 p.m. Once we found active fish we just kept going back over them. We had two doubles and a Quad, talk about two busy guys.

A pink and purple spoon we call “Cotton Candy” was our best line, 18lbs lead core ran back 300 feet with a 50ft leader. We also had pretty good luck with a silver dodger with prizm tape on both sides and a aqua fly, ran at 60 feet on the rigger. All light purple and pink spoons worked though. We tried to run diaginal of the shore line running from 50ft out to around 120 feet, with most of our fish coming out of 75′. It kept me busy on the down rigger balls, but very worth it.

Craid D. had a really good time with J-Plugs and glow spoons after dark and nailed a nice 19.5 pounder and his limit to boot.

Over all 5 guys, 2 boats, 700 miles, 49 fish and 250lbs of tasty King salmon fillets.

P.S. We did catch a lot of small fish, which we threw back and Craig let a nice 5 pounder go, so we didn’t come back short on accident.

I fished the 9th and the 10th of Aug did great one day and had some trouble the next. I’m from West Bend my best friend has a boat rigged up. I think thats my favoite trip of the year. Theres nothing like trolling with 9 lines and catching fish from 8lbs to 20lbs plus. If you haven’t experinced this trip you must do it .
