After a record setting Two Rivers derby weekend for both numbers of fish and total weight the lake is warming up fast with the heat wavew that has set in. Water temps jumped from the low 50’s into the mid 60’s and the fish are sluggish. After pilinging on the big kings the night before the super derby we finished in the middle of the 48 boat field, but we did catch the 4th place overall coho for the tournament. Alot of fun was had out on the water. The flasher fly rigs on the pumphandles are still working the best in the warmer water with the green on green and white and boy blue still being the go to colors. Searching for the fish is the big piece of the puzzle, there are alot of fish that show up on the sonar, but not alot of takers in the warming water. We traveled out to 350 feet of water both north and south and everyday the currents move the colder water a farther distance than the day before. The last evening trip we had 5 boys and there aunt out and picked up 6 fish, everyone got to do some cranking and had a great time.
