I got a break from sanding and bottom painting the boats on Sat. when I was invited out on the Blue Thunder. We hit the water a 8:00 a.m. and trolled a short time around the pierheads with 4 planerboard lines and after landing 5 browns and nice rainbow little Nicky said it was time to go home. We started cleaning one before I remembered the camera to get the photo. Theres been some very good action for browns, lakers, rainbows, and some kings already. This is the perfect time to give the big lake a try if you have a small boat, as most of the action is in 5-15 feet of water tight along the shoreline with stick baits. As for the big boats, the Willie Bee will hit the water on May 1.
