Back out on the Water

After a few days of canceled trips due to the weather we put in a couple of trips close to the piers for the big kings and pulled a limit one evening and 7 the next morning, with that action slowing down we hit a calm day and got out deep for a limit catch in 180 to 300 feet of water going back to the flasher flys in green on green and white on boy blue. The pier fishing has been spotty and the winds are back, looks like the season will soon be over as some of the boats are starting to get pulled out of the water.

Thanks for the update. Once the 4 year olds all spawn can’t a person go out and catch a limit of 2 and 3 year old fish? I would like to make another trip over that way late Sept or early Oct.
    Thanks Steve

You can get out deep now for the 2 & 3 year olds, along with the brown trout moving in. The water is still warm so the spawning run has been hit and miss so far, but if the weather is nice enough to let you get out to deep water the salmon are going very well out in 140-300 feet of water.
