Are there any shoreline fishing opportunities in the Escanaba area. I’m up for about any type of fish. Just looking for something to do. Would like to know where and what they are biting on. Not looking for secrets, just general info…

    Thanks!

Yes. Right downtown Escanaba. Take main out to the park out on the point. (Don’t remeber the name) Public access there with docks. Saw a lot of people shore fishing there. Pike, pass, perch were filling the buckets. This was back in June. Not sure how long that bite holds up, but worth a try.

    Good luck.

A good spot Jon! Also the new Escanaba River public landing…the south side of the The Gladstone Yacht club…and the entire river shoreline from Pioneer Park to the mouth…and if you drive up to Rapid River follow the signs to the public launch at the mouth of the WhiteFish River…there is a long point there with some great Walleye/Smallie fishing just chuckin Rapalas in the Evening.
