The fishing has been excellent for big rainbows and alot of kings out of Two Rivers the past week. Our afternoons are outfishing our mornings right now, but it has been a odd year so far. 40-80 feet of water is all it takes to get into the best action. Rainbows are hitting the acid spot and double orange Pro-Kings on the surface and the cut-bait has powered its way into some big kings this week. Green and greeen flasher Jimmy fly combos and blue and boy blue flasher flys on the pumphandles fished on the bottom have worked well. Green alewife Raider spoons on the dipseys have found alot of kings also. The big Two Rivers Derby is this weekend the 21-22-23. Good Luck to all fishing in it, that new boat would look nice in the driveway.

Nice catch. I hope the trend continues. I’m heading to Algoma this weekend. A couple of questions??? What is a pump handle? I’ve also heard about “the frig”,…do you know what that is ? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I think a pump handle is a setup where u bring the lure to the bottom using a very heavy weight attached to a line. I think it is a one pound weight or something. It is a lead ball about 1.5 inch in diameter. From the ball u attach a lure which could be a dodger and fly or a spoon and then u troll. It is very heavy setup and quite a lot of work to reel it in.
